Disability Resource Association, Erin Benz stated that she currently submitting names for 100 neediest people.  Please contact Erin if you know anyone that is in need for holiday donations.   Contact Erin at 636-931-7696.

 

American Red Cross, Dale Chambers stated that there a free Disaster Education Presentation for all ages, contact Dale at 636-464-9150.  Dale distributed handouts on Pandemic Flu, Preparing Makes Sense for Older Americans, and Preparing Makes Sense for People with Disabilities and Special Needs.  Dale stated that on October 21, 2009 there will be a Community Heroes Blood Drive at the Jefferson College Viking Room.  Also there will be adult CPR AED class with the blood drive.  The cost is $10.00.  Please visit www.redcrossstl.org to register as soon as possible.

 

St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Gwyn Harvey stated distributed the Fall 2009 Your Healthy Today publication.  In the publication the now events section. 

 

Alzheimer’s Association, Katie McLean distributed a handout for 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease. 

 

HealthCare USA, Daphne Terrill stated that there is open enrollment for Health Net Managed Care.  Daphne distributed the Doc’s Community CollaBearation Newsletter.  Daphne distributed candy bars to thank all the partners in the Jefferson County Forum.

Jefferson County 9-1-1, Geri Mayer talked about how the tax for 9-1-1 services would start in October.  The program would be implemented in two different phases.  The 9-1-1 service will be able to locate cell phones and do a reverse call to inform the community of any dangerous situations.
