Disability Resource Association, Erin Benz stated that she has no new information to share at this time.

Comtrea, Jan Freeman distributed registration form for the CAC Golf Fund Raiser Tournament. The golf tournament is on August 14, 2009. Contact Jan at 636-931-2700 ex345 for more information. Jan also reported that training will be held on July 24, 2009 on Movies and Mental Illness. Contact Jan at 636-931-2700 ex345 for more information. Jan also distributed an article from the St. Louis Post Dispatch regarding Abuse Victims.

Jefferson County Library-Arnold, Meredith McCarty distributed flyers regarding What’s happening at your library. What’s happening at your library?, flyer is events happening at the Arnold Branch. Calendar of events can be located at www.jeffersoncountylibrary.org. She distributed cards regarding, My Info Quest, it is a text reference. You can text for answers at 309-222-7740. Meredith also stated that there is a new business online resource available. You can research business at www.jeffersoncountylibrary.org and then click ok the online resources then business.

HealthCare USA, Daphne Terrill stated that they where having a Back to School Fair on 8-7-09. She stated that HealthCare USA is sponsoring the fair with Jefferson-Franklin Community Action and they need exhibitors for the fair. Please contact John Falcone at 314-444-7903. The fair will be held at Hillsboro Elementary School. Daphne stated that the MO Health New open enrollment begins on 8-1-9. All person enrolled currently will be getting a packet in the mail about open enrollment. They are encouraged to read and complete the paper work. New Mo Health Net contract was awarded and will start October 1, 2009.

Jefferson County Community Partnership, Jessica Rhodes distributed flyers regarding a SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Training. This training is monthly. If the parents qualify they can receive a crib with other baby items. You can contact Jessica at 636-464-5144 ex 20. Jessica also stated that there will be a Jefferson County Dental Coalition Meeting on August 10 at 2pm at the Jefferson County Community Partnership in Barnhart.

University of MO Extension, Melissa McAlpine distributed a flyer on Eco Adventure Day Camp to help educate youth. It will be on August 5, 2009 You can register with Melissa Scheer at 636-797-5391. Melissa stated that the Jefferson County Fair will be on July 23-26, if you want to have a booth contact Wanda Kiggans at 797-5391. Melissa also stated that there will be Are You Ready? Emergency Preparedness Training on August 13 at 6:30pm sponsored by Herculaneum Fire Department.

Join-N, Robin Scott reported that she is working on updating the Community Resource Directory. She would like to hear from those that have worked on the Jefferson County Community Resource Directory in the past. You can contact Robin at 636-464-1880.

United Way 2-1-1, Phyllis Hicks stated that she collecting and entering information on back to school event fairs.

Get Healthy Desoto, Debby Campbell stated that Tomato Fest Desoto’s farmer’s Market. The Tomato Fest will be on August 1, 2009 at 8am until noon at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church on Rock road. Debby stated that on August 4th there will be a 30 minute Mozzarella cheese making class. The deadline to register is on July 31. It will also be at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church on Rock road. American Red Cross, Dale Chambers stated that there a free Disaster Education Presentation for all ages, contact Dale at 636-464-9150. There also is a Child/Infant Safety Presentation that is free but the optional book is $16.95.

DDRB, Janet Whitmer stated that the agency will be going through accreditation in September. Also the senior coordinator has been hired and will start next week.
