Molly Pfeiffer:
  • AARP Drivers Safety Course – Tues, Sept.10, 1pm-5pm.  $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members.  Payment b cash or check made out to AARP.  Some insurance companies will give a discount to persons completing the course.  Certificate given upon completion.  Registration required, 636-677-8186, mpfeiffer@jeffcolib.org
  • Flu Shot Clinic – Thurs, Sept.12, 1pm-3pm.  Walgreens staff will administer this year’s flu shot.  Covered by most insurance; others pay $25.99.  Sign-up encouraged, walk-ins welcome.  636-677-8186, mpfeiffer@jeffcolib.org

  • WIA Dislocated Worker Program –  On-the-job and occupational skills training.  National career readiness certificate, grant and scholarship help.  Must meet requirements, documentation needed.  Missouri Career Center, 3675 W. Outer Rd. Ste. 102, Arnold 63010.  636-287-8909

  • Continuing Education – Free BTOP computer classes for the public have ended.  The schedule of fall continuing education classes, including affordable computer classes, is available now.

  • AARP Driver Safety Classes - @ Jefferson County Library.  Windsor Branch – Tues, Sept.3, 1pm-5pm.  Northwest Branch – Tues, Sept.10, 1pm-5pm.  Arnold Branch – Mon, Sept.16, 12:30pm-4:30pm.  $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members.  After September, fees will be raised to $15/$20.


Betty Hutson:

Josh Henry:
  • Eating Smart, Being Active – Tuesdays, Sept.10-Oct.22, 1:30pm-2:30pm.  Free 7 week nutrition, food safety, and physical education course offered by U. of MO Extension.  Registration required, participation in all sessions.  Attendance incentives and certificate of completion.  636-296-5171
  • Navigating the Online World – Thursdays, Sept.12-26, 9:30am-11:30am.  Free beginning computer classes.  Class 1 – essential keyboard and mouse skills.  Class 2- Basic internet searching and safety.  Class 3 – Library catalog, website, and databases.  Register for one or all.  Class size limited to 10 students.  636-296-5171
