Molly Pfeiffer:
  • Medicare Q&A – Wed 10/2, 10-11am.  Informal Q&A session for Medicare questions.  Want some unbiased answers to your Medicare questions?  A member of CLAIM will be on hand to answer questions and point you in the right direction.  636-677-8186
  • Autism 101 – Wed 10/9, 6-7pm.  Debra Fiasco, Family Support Coordinator and Autism Navigator, will explain what autism is, how to spot early signs, and what resources are available for help.  All ages, sign-up requested.  636-677-8186

Josh Henry:
  • Antiques Appraisal – Sat 9/21, 11am-3pm.  Discover the value of your family heirlooms and personal collectibles.  $5 per item.  Proceeds go to the Friends of the Library.
  • Atomic Midnight Drive-InVasion!- Weds, 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 6pm.  Free B&W sci-fi B-movies shown in the library’s meeting room.  Play trivia and enter prize drawing.
  • Medicare Q&A- Fri 10/4, 10am-11am.  Counselors from CLAIM will host a question-and-answer session to help people prepare for Medicare open enrollment beginning 10/15.  Free info available.  No sign-up required, walk-ins welcome.
  • Medicare Open Enrollment – Wed, 10/16, 9:30am-1pm.  CLAIM counselors will be available to discuss open enrollment in 1-on1 appointments.  Bring Medicare card and list of prescriptions.  Call 1-800-390-3330 for appt.; walk-ins welcome.

Nancy Pope:
  • DRA Youth Group – 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18, 4-5:30pm.  Join us for new activities to help transition from high school to adulthood.  Make friends, build confidence, prepare for your future, have fun.  Sandy Keyser will be presenting Project STIR (Steps Towards Independence and Responsibility).  For youth ages 16-21.  For more info and to reserve a spot, call Nancy, 636-931-7696


Char Linhorst:
  • WIA Youth Program – Assists youth with summer employment, holds workshops on career exploration, resume writing, interviewing, financial management, and more.  636-287-8909 x262

Mary Tinsley:
  • Liaison with federal agencies to assist constituents with questions and referrals for passport help, etc.  Outreach to school districts, Congressional art competition for high schools.  Constituent service days 3x per year.  636-239-2276, mary.tinsley@mail.house.gov, http://luetkemeyer.house.gov

Betty Hutson:
  • SHIP/CLAIM is scheduling presentations to help with Medicaid/Medicare Parts  A-D questions, get correct information to seniors.  Medicare is not related to Affordable Care Act.  Medicare Open Enrollment is 10/15-12/7.  Programs through Jefferson County Library and Potosi Library, AARP, Arnold Historical Society.    636-296-5448, bhut1331@yahoo.com, www.medicare.gov

Stephanie Paul:
  • MO Health Insurance Marketplace – MEAAA will have Navigators to assist individuals with questions about Marketplace options beginning when 2014 enrollments starts 10/1.  For assistance with info/enrollment contact 1-800-318-2596, visit healthcare.gov, www.covermissouri.org
  • Medicare Part D – Medicare beneficiaries can complete Medicare Prescription D Personal Information Worksheet for 2014 plan comparison.  Open enrollment is 10/15-12/7.
  • Seeking Matter of Balance Coaches to conduct 8-week course at local senior centers to help seniors manage their concerns about falls, how to fall safely, how to get up appropriately, and how to remain active.  The next coach certification course will be held 11/20-21 at MEAAA central office.  Sarah Levinson, 636-207-0847 x127
