Disability Resource Association, Erin Benz stated that they are collecting non-perishable food items for the Christmas Food Baskets.  Contact Erin to make the donation.


St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Gwyn Harvey distributed classes and event guide for September thru November 2009.  If you have any questions contact Gwyn at 314-525-3419.


Comtrea, Jan Freeman distributed flyers regarding Geriatric Psychiatry Services starting November 1, 2009 at the Seeley Building. Contact Jan for more information at 636-931-2700 ex 345.


Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, Missy Waldman gave an update on the MO Health Net Medicaid.  Missy discussed that adult Medicaid will be added to the FAMIS system.  The first roll out in Jefferson County would be January 4 until February 5, 2009.  If adults get a request for information to update the system and they do not send in the information then any state paid program will be cancelled.  Contact Missy for more information. 


Health Care USA, Daphne Terrill is encouraging all to review kids health on the website www.hcusa.org , there are many health and wellness print friendly articles, games and activities.


Jefferson County Library-Arnold, Meredith McCarthy distributed flyers regarding What’s happening at your library.  What’s happening at your library?, flyer is events happening at the Arnold Branch.  Calendar of events can be located at www.jeffersoncountylibrary.org.  There will be a book discussion on The Late Homecomer on November 12, 2009 at 1:00pm.  Contact Julie Petot at 636-296-5171 for more information. Also will be having program Wii Bit of Fun for Senior, to learn to play visual sports.  Contact Meredith McCarthy at 636-296-5171 for more information.


Get Healthy Desoto, Debbie Campbell distributed the Get Healthy Desoto news letter.  http://gethealthydesoto.blogspot.com.  She stated that the Farmer’s Market will be open every Saturday from 8-12 at 1004 Rock Rd, Desoto until October 31.  She stated that there is a Healthy Lunch and Learn class on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  The next one will be November 11th from 12:00 until 1:00.  The cost is $7.00 per person and you must register by calling 636-586-4570.  She stated that there is a Zumba class every Tuesday at 5pm at the Early Childhood Center in Desoto.  She stated that the cost is $32.00 for 6 weeks.  Contact Debbie at 636-586-4570.


University of MO Extension, Melissa McAlpine distributed a flyer regarding a Dream Workshop, to introduce high school students to entrepreneurship.  Contact Melissa at 636-797-5391 for more information.


Jefferson County Community Partnership, Jessica Rhodes stated that the Jefferson County Dental Coalition Meeting, Tuesday, November 10, at 1 p.m. at JCCP.
There is a Early Childhood Comprehensive System (ECCS) Meeting on Friday, November 20, at 9:30 a.m. at JCCP.  The Jeffco Express Bus will start on November 30 and runs from 7 a.m. to 7 Information can be found at www.jeffcoexpress.org
