Jefferson County Library-Arnold, Meredith McCarthy distributed flyers regarding What’s happening at your library. What’s happening at your library?, flyer is events happening at the Arnold Branch. Calendar of events can be located at www.jeffersoncountylibrary.org. On October 15th at 1pm 110 Hanger for Honor; a sewing program to make hangers for soldiers memorial to house their collections. Children’s Division, Samantha Richards reported that Meth Action Coalition is hosting Meth Awareness Day on October 15th at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Contact Samantha at 636-797-9708 for more information.

MEAAA, Stephanie Paul distributed flyers regarding Jeffco Empowerment Email Group, to help community professional share resources and updates by email. The Health Fair at High Ridge Senior Center is on September 29 from 10am-11:30am. There will be free screenings for bone density, blood sugar and blood pressure. Caregiver Workshop on November 5th at 9am at the Wilder Conference Center in Arnold, MO. Contact Stephanie for more information at 636-933-1347

American Red Cross, Dale Chambers stated that if you need Emergency Preparedness information go to www.redcrossstl.org.

Memory Care Home Solutions, Steve Miskovic reported on Memory Care Home Solution’s annual event. Memories and Melodies is 11-11-10 at the Chase. They have tickets and sponsorship packages available. Contact Steve at 314-645-6247 for more information.

JCDDRB, Pam Branson reported on an Information Conference on 10-9-10 at 8:30-12:15 at Jefferson College. To register call 636-797-3000 ext 144.

Get Healthy Desoto, Debbie Campbell reported that the Desoto Farmer’s Market is every Saturday morning form 8-12 through October 23rd. There will be a Christmas Home Tour Fundraiser on November 27th from 9:30 – 3:00pm. Tickets are $15.00 in advanced or $17.00 at the door. Debbie reported that there will be a 5K Run/Walk fundraiser on October 30th. Meet at Spross Park at 7am for registration, walk begins at 8pm. Cost is $20.00. Sign up ahead of time for a shirt. Healthy Lunch and Learn is on October 13th at Noon. Cost is $7.00. Speaker will be Sandra Martin regarding Finding your Motivation through Emotional Fitness.
